Sweet & Savory Goose Sliders

Perfect for holiday parties or Super Bowl right around the corner! These quick and easy sliders combine the rich flavor of goose with a sweet and tangy twist. They’re bite-sized, festive, and sure to impress your guests!
My intentions of starting this recipe was to make goose sausage breakfast sandwiches, but as I started, plans changed. Therefore, I prepared these patties on my stove but you can also do so on the grill.

For a visual/ hands-on of how I prepared this recipe, you can follow and check out Bloom Outdoors on Tik-Tok.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground goose

  • 1/2 lb. bacon, chopped

  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup

  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp. Kinder’s Woodfired Garlic Seasoning

  • 2 tsp. brown Sugar

  • 9 Hawaiian rolls

  • Mustard

  • 4 slices of cheese

  • Onions, chopped

  • Dill pickles, sliced

  • Ketchup

  • Cowboy butter

  • Sesame seeds

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground goose, chopped bacon, maple syrup, brown sugar, Kinder’s Woodfired Garlic seasoning, and garlic powder.

  2. Form the mixture into 2-inch patties.

  3. Heat a pan over low-medium heat. Cook the patties until fully cooked, flipping once. Repeat until all patties are done.

  4. Lightly spray the bottom of an 8x8 oven-safe pan. Place the bottom halves of the nine Hawaiian rolls into the pan.

  5. Spread mustard evenly over the rolls, then layer with four slices of cheese.

  6. Add the cooked goose patties, placing one on each roll bottom. Top each patty with a pickle slice and sprinkle the onions evenly over all the sliders.

  7. Spread ketchup on the bottom of the top half of the Hawaiian rolls and place them on top of the patties.

  8. Brush the melted cowboy butter over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  9. Cover the pan with tinfoil and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.

  10. Remove the foil, cut the sliders into nine individual pieces, and bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes.

  11. Take out of the oven, let cool slightly, and enjoy!
