Garlic Cilantro Lime Shrimp Tacos

This weeks "Wild Game Wednesday" has a plot twist due to my vacation in Florida, so I decided to do a fresh catch!
I actually don't eat much fish (which is funny for how much I enjoy fishing) but, I have been exploring my options and have found out I love cooked shrimp.

Prep time: 25 minutes

Cook time: 5 minutes

Total time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 pound raw shrimp

  • 1.5 cup vegetable slaw

  • 1 avocado, cubed

  • 2 limes, juice

  • 1 medium red onion, chopped

  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped

  • 1/4 cup Redhot

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 3 tablespoon Aw Shit seasoning, any blackening season will work

  • Flour tortillas

Directions:

  1. Rinse and dry shrimp, place in bowl. Season shrimp with Aw Shit, garlic powder, garlic, one lime of juice and 1/4 cup of cilantro. Mix, cover bowl and place in fridge.

  2. Combine vegetable slaw, avocado, red onion, 1/4 cilantro and the juice of the second lime in another bowl, set aside.

  3. In a small bowl mix together mayo and red hot.

  4. Remove shrimp from fridge add a slice of butter to a pan and sauté shrimp for about two minutes on each side.

  5. Add butter to a pan and brown both sides of your tortillas.

  6. Prepare you tacos by layering the vegetable slaw, shrimp, spicy mayo topped with cilantro and enjoy.

I paired this with my version of a cowboy caviar, which is very easy to make!
